HE FURTHER <br />NOTED THAT LOWELL LOHMAN, WHO HAS THE FRANCHISE IN THIS AREA IS <br />ANXIOUS TO GIVE IT UP, AND HE FEELS THAT MR. LOHMAN'S ATTORNEY WILL <br />REQUEST THAT THE FRANCHISE AGREEMENT BE VOIDED SINCE THE DER WON'T <br />GIVE MR. LOHMAN A PERMIT FOR A DEEP WELL. <br />MR. WALKER INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THERE ARE PRESENTLY 24 <br />HOMES SOUTH OF SOUTH PASSAGE - TWENTY IN ONE SECTION AND FOUR IN <br />ANOTHER SECTION. HE FELT THAT THE BOARD WOULD GET A FAVORABLE REAC- <br />TION FROM 90% OF ALL THE PROPERTY OWNERS IN THE AREA, ESPECIALLY <br />SINCE THE WATER TABLE NOW HAS GONE TO SALT, <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE ASKED WHAT MR. WALKER HAS IN WRITING FROM <br />THE CITY OF VERO BEACH THAT WOULD GUARANTEE THAT THEY COULD GET <br />WATER FROM THE CITY. <br />MR. WALKER STATED THAT HE HAS NOTHING IN WRITING, BUT ,JOHN <br />LITTLE, CITY MANAGER, HAS MADE COMMITMENTS TO BOTH LOWELL LOHMAN <br />AND HIMSELF THAT IF HE IS SURE'IT CAN BE DONE, HE WILL GET THE WATER <br />TO, THEM. <br />COMMISSSIONER SIEBERT POINTED OUT THAT THESE THINGS ARE <br />ALL IN THE'FUTURE, AND THESE PEOPLE APPARENTLY MAINLY WANT TO ' <br />START THE MECHANISM WORKING TOWARDS THIS END. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE STATED THAT HE HAS NO PROBLEM WITH A TAX- <br />ING DISTRICT AND HAS A GREAT DEAL OF.CONFIDENCE IN MR, LITTLE, BUT <br />HE IS NOT SURE WHAT THE CITY COUNCIL WILL DO. <br />MR.
