61 <br />0 <br />DANA HOWARD OF CARTER ASSOCIATES, INC., CAME BEFORE THE <br />BOARD REQUESTING TENTATIVE APPROVAL OF GLEN ACRES, UNIT II, WHICH IS <br />PROPOSED TO BE A SMALL SUBDIVISION CONTAINING FIVE 1/2 ACRE LOTS, <br />LOCATED WEST OF 20TH AVENUE OF THE NORTH SIDE OF 8TH STREET (GLENDALE <br />ROAD). HE NOTED THAT THIS HAS BEEN BEFORE THE SUBDIVISION REVIEW <br />COMMITTEE. IT WAS PREVIOUSLY MISTAKENLY SHOWN AS SUN CREST TERRACE, <br />BUT IT HAS BEEN CHANGED TO GLEN ACRES, UNIT II. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY ASKED IF THIS WILL BE A PRIVATE ROAD <br />SUBDIVISION, AND MR.`HOWARD STATED THAT THEY ARE HOPING TO DEDICATE <br />THE ROAD TO THE COUNTY. IT IS A 60' RIGHT -OF -HAY. <br />COMMISSIONER DEESON NOTED THAT THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT <br />APPARENTLY RECOMMENDED THAT IT BE A PRIVATE ROAD BECAUSE OF DOUBLE <br />FRONTAGE, <br />MR. HOWARD INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THERE WILL BE A PLANTING <br />STRIP ON THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY TO ELIMINATE THE PROBLEM OF DOUBLE <br />FRONTAGE. <br />THE ADMINISTRATOR NOTED THAT USUALLY PLANTINGS STRIPS ARE <br />NOT PUT IN THE RIGHTS-OF-WAY BECAUSE THEN THEY BECOME THE COUNTY'S <br />OBLIGATION TO MAINTAIN. HE FELT THERE SHOULD BE AN ADDITIONAL 10' <br />STRIP FOR THIS PURPOSE. HE ALSO FELT THAT AT THE SUBDIVISION REVIEW <br />IT WAS INDICATED THAT THE PLANTING STRIP SHOULD BE SHOWN ON THE <br />PLAT PRESENTED TO THE BOARD. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE DISCUSSED THE POSSIBILITY OF THE COUNTY NOT <br />ACCEPTING A ROAD WHICH SERVES SO FEW PROPERTY OWNERS AND BROUGHT UP <br />THE QUESTION OF WHO WOULD PAY TAXES ON THE 10' PLANTING STRIP. <br />DISCUSSION AROSE ABOUT THE EXISTING CULVERTS ON THE PROPERTY <br />LINESJAND ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS ASKED IF THESE ARE 18" CULVERTS. <br />MR. HOWARD DID NOT KNOW, AND THE ADMINISTRATOR FELT THAT THE <br />ACTUAL SIZE AND THE CONDITION OF THE CULVERTS SHOULD BE DETERMINED AS <br />IT COULD CREATE A DRAINAGE PROBLEM IF THEY ARE TOO SMALL. <br />THE ADMINISTRATOR SUGGESTED THAT THIS MATTER BE REFERRED BACK <br />TO THE SUBDIVISION REVIEW COMMITTEE AND THEN BE.BROUGHT BACK TO THE <br />BOARD IN PROPER CONDITION. THE BOARD AGREED. <br />MR. HOWARD NEXT TOOK UP THE MATTER OF TENTATIVE APPROVAL FOR <br />WESTSIDE VILLAS, WHICH IS TO BE LOCATED ON,THE EAST SIDE OF 82ND <br />N <br />Bev 34 Pa �r 448 <br />
