TO BUILD ON HER PROPERTY, <br />ZONING DIRECTOR DEWEY WALKER INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THIS <br />PROPERTY IS LOCATED ON FLORA LANE (62ND PLACE), AND SPECIAL EXCEPTIONS <br />HAVE BEEN GRANTED IN THIS AREA BEFORE.- MR. WALKER STATED THAT THERE <br />IS ACCESS, BUT NOT OVER A PUBLIC ROADWAY; THE PROPERTY IS ZONED R-1; <br />AND HE FEELS THIS IS A ROUTINE SPECIAL EXCEPTION SINCE THE APPLICANT <br />HAS OWNED THE PROPERTY SINCE JANUARY 28, 1963. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER DEESON, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />LOY, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY GRANTED A SPECIAL EXCEPTION TO HELEN M. <br />GANNON. <br />ZONING DIRECTOR WALKER NEXT DISCUSSED WITH THE BOARD A SPECIAL <br />EXCEPTION FOR SAM BROWN, SR., WHO HAS OWNED PROPERTY IN THE OSLO AREA <br />IN THE VICINITY OF POMPEY SUBDIVISION SINCE 1948 AND NOW WISHES TO <br />BUILD A HOME. HE DISPLAYED A SECTION MAP OF THE AREA TO THE BOARD <br />AND NOTED THAT HE HAS VISITED THE PROPERTY AND THERE IS A WAY TO GET <br />IN AND OUT. HE CONTINUED THAT THERE ARE SEVERAL HOUSES IN THIS AREA <br />AND SPECIAL EXCEPTIONS HAVE BEEN GRANTED PREVIOUSLY IN ORDER FOR <br />PEOPLE TO BUILD HERE. <br />ADMINISTRATOR .JENNINGS AGREED THAT THERE IS A ROAD THAT <br />MEANDERS BACK TO THE PROPERTY IN QUESTION, BUT IT IS NOT A DEDICATED <br />COUNTY -MAINTAINED ROAD. HE INFORMED THE BOARD THAT SOME IMPROVEMENT <br />HAS BEEN DONE IN THIS AREA UNDER THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK <br />GRANT. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER Loy, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />DEESON, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY GRANTED A SPECIAL EXCEPTION TO SAM <br />BROWN, SR. <br />ATTORNEY NORMAN GREEN CAME BEFORE THE BOARD ACCOMPANIED BY <br />STATE TROOPER SICKMAN OF THE FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL TO DISCUSS THEIR <br />REQUEST FOR FIVE PORTABLE TWO-WAY RADIOS AS SET OUT IN A LETTER FROM <br />MR.
