m ME <br />ASSISTANT PLANNER BERG INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THIS <br />PROPERTY IS AT THE NORTH END OF THE COUNTY ON OLD.U.S. N0. 1 ALONG <br />THE INDIAN RIVER. THE REZONING WAS REQUESTED TO ALLOW THE OWNERS <br />TO BUILD THREE HOUSES. MR. BERG NOTED THAT THIS WOULD BE IN <br />KEEPING WITH PROPERTY TO THE SOUTH WHICH WAS JUST RECENTLY REZONED <br />AND SUBDIVIDED, AND ALSO IN KEEPING WITH THE CASTER PLAN WHICH <br />REFLECTS LOW DENSITY. HE STATED THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT HAS NO <br />OBJECTION AND WOULD RECOMMEND APPROVAL. MR. BERG NOTED THAT THE <br />PROPERTY WOULD HAVE TO BE SUBDIVIDED, AND THOUGH THEY HAVE NOT <br />YET SEEN A PLAT OF A TENTATIVE SUBDIVISION, THIS WOULD STILL HAVE <br />TO COME BEFORE THE SUBDIVISION REVIEW COMMITTEE AND THEN BACK TO <br />THE BOARD FOR TENTATIVE APPROVAL. <br />THE CHAIRMAN ASKED IF ANYONE PRESENT WISHED TO BE HEARD. <br />THERE WERE NONE. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER DEESON, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SCHMUCKER, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY CLOSED THE PUBLIC HEARING. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER DEESON, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SCHMUCKER, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED ORDINANCE 78-16 APPROVING <br />THE REZONING TO R-lA REQUESTED BY MR.
