<br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
<br />Board of County Commissioners of Indian
<br />River County, Florida will hold a public
<br />hearing on July 19, 1978, at 10:30 o'clock
<br />A.M. in the County Commission Chambers
<br />at the Indian River County Courthouse to
<br />consider the adoption of:
<br />An Ordinance relating to flood damage
<br />protection carrying out the intent and
<br />purposes of the National Flood Insurance
<br />Act of 1948 and the Flood Disaster Act of
<br />1973 and to convert Indian River County to
<br />the regular program of flood insurance by
<br />the Federal Insurance Administration;
<br />providing for a statement of purpose, ob-
<br />jectives, definitions, a basis for areas of
<br />special flood hazards, requirement of
<br />development permits, disclaimer of
<br />liabilities, penalties for violation, providing
<br />for administration, duties and respon-
<br />sibilities of County Administrator, a
<br />variance procedure, provisions for flood
<br />hazard reduction, a savings clause and an
<br />effective date.
