Wodtke, Chairman and Members <br />Board of County Commissioners J�EZl1s' <br />Indian River County <br />2145 14th Avenue <br />Vero Beach, Florida 32960 <br />Re: Proposed Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance <br />Dear Chairman Wodtke and Members of County Commission: <br />Your letter of July 20, 1978, with copy of proposed Flood Damage Prevention <br />Ordinance addressed to Indian River Federal Savings and Loan Association has <br />been referred to me for study and reply. <br />I realize the work and expense involved in specifically designating the boundaries <br />of the various zones. But, if the ordinance is adopted, using the maps therein <br />referred to, numerous problems are frequently going to be presented as to just <br />what land is in this zone or in that zone, or in any zone at all, because of the <br />indefinite manner the boundaries of the several zones are delineated on the maps. <br />If the ordinance is adopted, it is certainly going to substantially increase con- <br />struction costs in the effected areas.
