Bob Johnson, Coral Wind Subdivision, questioned prior zoning on Oslo Road. <br />Chairman Davis explained that this change would not apply to zoning or height restrictions. <br />Brian Carman, Indian River Neighborhood Association (IRNA), believed the process to <br />be flawed. He encouraged transparency through Public Hearings and by Public Notices being <br />sent to property owners. <br />Mr. Paladin reiterated that he did not support a permanent exception without the process <br />going through the current policy. <br />There being no other speakers, the Chairman closed the Public Hearing. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Vice Chairman Flescher, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner O'Bryan, to adopt <br />Ordinance 2009-017 inclusive of a Public Notice; a final <br />approval by the Board of County Commission after a <br />Public Hearing; and a one year reassessment of the LDR <br />change, concerning an amendment to its Land <br />Development Regulations (LDR); providing for <br />amendments to Chapter 902, Administrative Mechanisms, <br />by creating the role of Board of County Commissioners in <br />Chapter 902 to hear requests for permanent exceptions for <br />individual development projects; providing for other <br />modifications in Chapter 902; and by providing for repeal <br />of conflicting provisions; codification; severability; and <br />effective date. <br />17 <br />October 13, 2009 <br />
