MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER Loy, TO ACCEPT THE PROPOSAL OF THE CITY OF VERO BEACH <br />RE EXTENSION OF WATER SERVICE AREA IN PRINCIPLE AND ASK THEM TO <br />EXTEND DOWN 12TH STREET FROM THE END OF THEIR PROPOSED SERVICE <br />AREA OUT TO KINGS HIGHWAY, NORTH TO THE RELIEF CANAL, AND BACK EAST <br />TO THE PROPOSED SERVICE AREA, AND ALSO EXTEND THE SERVICE AREA WEST <br />FROM THE VERO REACH COUNTRY CLUB GOLF COURSE TO THE EAST SIDE OF <br />U.S. 1 AND NORTH TO THE CITY LIMITS AS ADJUSTED BY THE ENGINEERS <br />AND ATTORNEY. <br />THE CHAIRMAN ASKED IF IT IS THE INTENT OF THE,MOTION THAT <br />WE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE OPTION TO EVENTUALLY TAKE OVER THE SERVICE <br />AREA IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ORIGINAL AGREEMENT, AND COMMISSIONER <br />SIEBERT STATED THAT IT IS. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. IT WAS VOTED ON AND <br />CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. <br />.JOHN EMMI AND JACK DRITENBAS THANKED THE BOARD FOR THE ACTION <br />JUST TAKEN AND THEIR EFFORTS TO SECURE WATER FOR THE AREA NEAR THE <br />COLLEGE. � <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS INFORMED THE BOARD THAT HE HAS RECEIVED <br />A LETTER FROM THE MOORINGS AGREEING TO OUR REQUEST TO RELEASE 31 <br />WATER TAPS TO THE COUNTY, SUBJECT TO THE COUNTY AND THE CITY ENTER- <br />ING INTO AN AGREEMENT AS TO THE USE OF THE TAPS.
