ATTORNEY COLLINS NOTED THAT NORMALLY THIS TYPE OF THING <br />WOULD BE FOR THE EARLY FILING OF THE PLAT AND STATED THAT HE DID <br />NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THEY WANT TO DO IT THIS WAY. HE NOTED THAT YOU <br />CAN'T 'CONSTRUCT HOMES UNTIL YOU FINALIZE THE PLAT. <br />ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS EXPLAINED THAT MORTIMER PARKWAY <br />SUBDIVISION IS AN OLD SUBDIVISION OUT ON ROUTE 60 AND WAS PUT ON <br />RECORD IN 1925. IT WAS AT ONE TIME WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS. RECENTLY <br />SOME PEOPLE BOUGHT THIS AND WANTED TO PAVE THE ROAD AND SELL THE <br />LOTS, BUT DID NOT WANT TO REPLAT TT. THE ADMINISTRATOR STATED <br />HE INFORMED MR. LLOYD THAT IN ORDER TO DO THIS, THEY WOULD HAVE TO <br />PAVE THE ROAD TO THE COUNTY'S SPECIFICATIONS AND ALSO GIVE 15' <br />EASEMENTS ON THE BOUNDARY LINES FOR DRAINAGE EASEMENTS. ADMINISTRATOR <br />JENNINGS CONTINUED THAT HE DID INSPECT THE SUBDIVISION BUT COULD NOT <br />GIVE FINAL APPROVAL BECAUSE IT WAS NOT READY, AND THEY THEN REQUESTED <br />TO BE ALLOWED TO 'PUT UP A CASH BOND FOR THE R'E-MAINING'WORK. THE <br />ADMINISTRATOR INFORMED THE BOARD THAT WE NOW HAVE THE EASEMENTS AND <br />A CHECK FOR $6,382.08 FOR THE CASH BOND ALONG WITH A LETTER OF <br />UNDERSTANDING THAT THEY'CAN MAKE NO DRAWDOWN UNTIL THE ROAD IS <br />A <br />APPROVED AND ACCEPTED BY THE COUNTY, THE ADMINISTRATOR STATED THAT <br />HE FEELS THE MONEY POSTED IS AMPLE TO FINISH THE REMAINING WORK <br />AND HE WOULD LIKE THE BOARD TO ACCEPT THE CASH BOND. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER S-IEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SCHMUCKER, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ACCEPTED THE CASH BOND IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $6,382.08 POSTED BY ORIN CUMMINGS FOR COMPLETION OF <br />MORTIMER PARKWAY SUBDIVISION (NOW KNOWN AS DEARIE PINES) AS PER <br />LETTER FROM LLOYD AND ASSOCIATES -DATED AUGUST 31, 1978. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE ANNOUNCED THAT.THE BOARD WOULD AT THIS TIME <br />CONTINUE THE HEARING IN REGARD TO THE REMOVAL OF A HAZARDOUS STRUCTURE <br />OWNED BY ,JOHN GAINES, <br />JOHN GAINES INFORMED THE BOARD THAT HE -IS HERE BECAUSE <br />MR. WALKER DECIDED THAT hIS HOUSE SHOULD BE TORN DOWN, AND HE HAS <br />BEEN REFUSED A BUILDING PERMIT. HE STATED THAT HE HAS TAKEN PICTURES <br />OF HAZARDOUS STRUCTURES THAT PEOPLE ARE PRESENTLY LIVING IN.
