DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS, DIVISION OF <br />EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT – STATE AND FEDERALLY <br />FUNDED SUBGRANT AGREEMENT – EMERGENCY <br />MANAGEMENT PREPAREDNESS AWARD AND EMERGENCY <br />PREPAREDNESS GRANT (CONTRACT #05BG-04-10-40-01) <br /> Emergency Management Coordinator Nathan McCollum explained that this agreement <br />comes every year from the state; however, this year is unique in that we will not be using a second <br />grant to renew one of the positions. This is a special needs position which will be terminated as of <br />April, 2005. <br />County Administrator Joe Baird stated that the position being terminated was created with <br />grant monies and it was understood at that time that it would be a temporary position only through <br />the term of the grant funds. <br /> Mr. McCollum noted that the Emergency Management Planner position will be retained <br />and the Assistant Planner position will be terminated. <br /> <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Lowther, the Board unanimously <br />approved the EMPA funding for FY 2004-05 and <br />authorized the Emergency Services Director as the <br />OCTOBER 19, 2004 36 <br /> <br />
