Commissioners Davis and Flescher also wanted to see modifications to the <br />Resolution. Commissioner O'Bryan agreed to most of the suggested changes and Moved for <br />amendment of the Motion. <br />Commissioner O'Bryan MOVED, SECONDED by <br />Chairman Wheeler, for adoption of the Resolution, as <br />amended. <br />Joseph Paladin, Chairman of Growth Awareness Committee, favored the initiative, <br />and offered to contribute the difference (of the $4,500.00) of what the Team could not afford to <br />pay, if he could get a 5-0 vote from the Board for this initiative. <br />Discussion continued regarding costs, and an unidentified Speaker remarked that the <br />cost of not doing it was far greater than doing it. <br />The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION and by a 4-1 <br />vote (Commissioner Flescher opposed), the Motion carried. <br />The Board approved Resolution 2007-134, as amended, <br />authorizing application to the Florida Green Building <br />Coalition, Inc., for certification of Indian River County as a <br />Certified Florida Green Local Government and to <br />demonstrate a significant commitment on the part of Indian <br />River County Government to establish policies, guidelines, <br />goals, and strategic actions to promote sustainability. <br />14.
