AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />14. COMMISSIONER ITEMS <br />14.A. COMMISSIONER WESLEY S. DAVIS, CHAIRMAN <br />14.A.1. APPOINTMENT TO TOURIST DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL <br />Chairman Davis requested that the County Commissioners consider for appointment to <br />the Tourist Development Council the following individuals: Ursula Gunter, Renee Lynne Page, <br />and Charlie Wilson. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Vice Chairman Flescher, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Wheeler, to nominate <br />Ursula Gunter for the position on the Tourist Development <br />Council. <br />A brief discussion ensued among Commissioners and staff regarding the qualifications <br />and eligibility of two of the candidates, Ursula Gunter, and Renee Lynne Page. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner O'Bryan to <br />nominate Renee Lynne Page. There was no SECOND and <br />the Motion FAILED. <br />Chairman Davis CALLED FOR A VOTE on the <br />nomination for the position on the Tourist Development <br />Council. The Board, by a 4-1 vote (Commissioner <br />O'Bryan opposed) accepted the nomination, and appointed <br />24 <br />October 20, 2009 <br />
