2. FY 2008 STATE CRIMINAL ALIEN ASSISTANCE PROGRAM <br />(SCAAP) AWARD <br />ON MOTION by Vice Chairman Davis, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously <br />approved that $157,349.00 be amended into Corrections <br />Operating Expenses to pay the consulting firm and to <br />augment funds needed for inmate medical, as requested in <br />the letter dated October 23, 2008. <br />10. PUBLIC ITEMS <br />A. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />1. COUNTY INITIATED REOUEST TO AMEND THE <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS ELEMENT OF THE <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN (LEGISLATIVE) <br />PROOF OF PUBLICATION OF ADVERTISEMENT FOR HEARING IS ON FILE IN THE <br />OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />Community Development Director Bob Keating recapped the backup <br />memorandum dated October 27, 2008 and provided background and analysis on the request to <br />amend the Capital Improvements Element of the Comprehensive Plan.
