<br />Joseph Paladin, <br />President of the Growth Awareness Committee, discussed the Board <br />setting up a policy to help prevent a negative situation occurring when Attorneys who have an <br />existing lawsuit against the County and intend to speak at one of the Board meetings. He <br /> <br />suggested establishing a form for those speakers to fill out defining their discussion. <br /> <br />George Christopher <br /> agreed with Mr. Paladin. <br /> <br />Attorney Collins <br />felt it would be better to advise them not to speak to the Board, and tell <br />them to speak to the County’s attorney. <br /> <br /> NO ACTION REQUIRED OR TAKEN. <br /> <br />9.B.2. Torpy, <br />202 N. Harbor City, Melbourne, pointed out that the Lakes at Sand <br />Ridge Subdivision received its Certificate of Completion prior to the adoption of Ordinance <br />2006-007 that set new maintenance requirements (Bonding). He came to ask the Board that Phase <br />I be excused from those requirements, and to work out the details of Phase II later. <br />Attorney Collins responded that it is unfair to apply a three-year bonding requirement to a <br />project that was already in the process, and should the Board approve this request only two other <br />projects would be affected by their decision. <br /> <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Davis, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously approved to <br />release the Bond in the amount of $135, 387.50 for Phase 1 of the <br />October 24, 2006 <br />54 <br /> <br /> <br />
