Bid Award of IRC Bid # 2007008 – Annual Bid for Asphalt Paving and <br />Resurfacing – Public Works Department / Road and Bridge Division <br />(memorandum dated September 12, 2006) 46-59 <br /> Awarded the bid for items #1 through # 14 to Dickerson Florida, Inc., as <br />the most responsive and responsible bidder meeting the specifications as <br />set forth in the Invitation to Bid; awarded the bid for item # 15 (Cost per <br />ton for County to pick up material at contactor’s plant) to multiple <br />vendors, Dickerson Florida, Inc. and Community Asphalt Corporation. A <br />multiple bid will allow the County Road and Bridge Division to pick up <br />material at a plant closest to a job site. Authorized Purchasing Division to <br />issue blanket purchase orders or individual job purchase orders, as <br />needed, for the period, October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007 with <br />the recommended bidder. Authorized the Purchasing Manager to renew <br />this bid for 2 additional 1 year periods subject to satisfactory performance, <br />zero cost increase, vendor acceptance and the determination that renewal <br />of this annual contract is in the best interest of the County.
