Approval of Emergency Operations Center Grant Funding <br />State -Funded Sub -grant Agreement Number 06CP-4Z-10-40-01 <br />-(me-morandum -dated -September _22, 2005) _____________________________________510-545__ <br />Approved acceptance of the ,State -Funded Vub-grant Agreement <br />ftom the Department of Community Affairs for $2.5 million to <br />assist with the construction of the Emergency Operations Center <br />(EOE) and authorized the Chairman to execute the agreement. <br />The facility must be designed and constructed to withstand 200 <br />iriph wind gusts, resist penetration by windborne debris and have a <br />finish floor exceeding the 500 -year flood elevation. The EOE' <br />must also be designedfor a minimum of 72 hours of continuous <br />operation. The design firm of Donadio and Associates are aware <br />of the grant requirements. <br />2. Acceptance of 2005/2006 Emergency Management Federally <br />Funded Homeland Security Subgrant Agreement Number <br />06 -DS -3W-10-40-01 <br />-(memorandum -dated -September _26 2005) -------------------------------------- 546-586 <br />Approved acceptance of the 200512006 Emergency Management <br />Federally Funded Homeland ,Vecunity ,Vub-grant agreement in the <br />amount of $38,523.00 and authorized the Chairman to execute the <br />agreement between Indian River County Emergency Management <br />and the Florida Department of Community Affairs/Division of <br />Emergency Management. <br />it.
