October 9, 2007 <br />EMERGENCY SERVICES DISTRICT <br />The Board of Commissioners of the Emergency Services District met at the County <br />Commission Chambers, 1801 27th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, October 9, 2007. <br />Present were Chairman Gary C. Wheeler, Vice Chair Sandra L. Bowden, Commissioners Wesley <br />S. Davis, Joseph E. Flescher, and Peter D. O'Bryan. Also present were County Administrator <br />Joseph A. Baird, Assistant County Attorney William DeBraal, and Deputy Clerk Leona Adair <br />Allen. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order at 10:17 a.m. <br />14.A.1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES — REGULAR MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 4, 2007 <br />ON MOTION by Vice Chair Bowden, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Flescher, the Board unanimously approved <br />the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 4, as <br />written. <br />14.A.2. ADDITIONAL STAFFING AT FIRE -RESCUE STATIONS 6 AND 11 <br />Director of Emergency Services John King informed the Board that this item was <br />brought back from the September 5, 2007 Budget Hearing where the Board directed staff to <br />review budgetary options to increase the current staffing levels of Fire Rescue Stations 6 and 11. <br />He described the specific details of the four Options and answered questions from the Board (see <br />backup). <br />October 9, 2007 <br />E.S.D. 1 <br />
