The Board had given direction to staff to save that oak tree <br />st <br />on 41 Avenue. <br />Vice Chairman Neuberger reported that he had looked at it and described the tree as <br />decrepit and not worth saving. <br />Public Works Director James Davis advised that an expert had submitted a report <br />that the tree is diseased and probably needs to come down anyway as a safety issue because the <br />branches are brittle and could fall. <br />Commissioner Lowther suggested that next time something like this comes up, it <br />would be good to have a photograph and Director Davis advised that staff would be glad to do that. <br />Chairman Ginn understood the tree was distressed and in decline. <br /> <br />ON MOTION BY Commissioner Macht, who reiterated his <br />love for trees, SECONDED BY Chairman Ginn, the Board <br />unanimously approved allowing Public Works to do <br />whatever they think is appropriate with regard to the tree in <br />question. <br /> <br />14.A. EMERGENCY SERVICES DISTRICT <br />The Chairman announced that immediately upon adjournment, the Board would <br />reconvene as the Board of Commissioners of the Emergency Services District.
