ADMINISTRATOR .JENNINGS RECOMMENDED TO THE BOARD THAT THE <br />BID OF LINDER INDUSTRIAL MACHINERY BE ACCEPTED ON THE MOTOR GRADER, <br />NOTHING THAT IT INCLUDES EQUIPMENT IN ADDITION TO THAT SPECIFIED. HE <br />FELT WE CAN GET IMMEDIATE DELIVERY. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />4 <br />Loy, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ACCEPTED THE BID OF LINDER INDUSTRIAL <br />MACHINERY CO., FOR A CHAMPION D-715 MOTOR GRADER, AS BEING THE LOWEST <br />AND BEST BID MEETING SPECIFICATIONS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $51,931.00. <br />ASSISTANT ADMINISTRATOR NEIL NELSON NOTED THAT THE BID FROM <br />VELDE FORD ON THE 1/2 TON PICK-UP TRUCK FOR THE ROAD & BRIDGE SUPERINTEN- <br />DENT IS ABOUT $300 HIGHER THAN THE BID FROM FORT PIERCE DODGE, BUT STATED <br />THEY WOULD RECOMMEND ACCEPTING IT BECAUSE MOST OF THE COUNTY TRUCKS ARE <br />FORDS. HE NOTED WE ARE TOOLED UP FOR THEM AND HAVE MECHANICS SCHOOLED <br />TO SERVICE THEM. MR. NELSON CONTINUED THAT THEY CONTACTED SUNSHINE <br />DODGE IN MELBOURNE BUT WERE UNABLE TO DETERMINE IF THEY MET SPECIFICATIONS. <br />ADMINISTRATOR .JENNINGS AGREED THAT HE ALSO WOULD RECOMMEND <br />FORDS, MAINLY BECAUSE OF THE AVAILABILITY OF SPARE PARTS, BUT NOTED <br />THAT PARTS.COULD BE OBTAINED FOR A DODGE AS WELL. HE SUGGESTED THAT <br />THE BID OF THE FOUR 1/2 TON TRUCKS BE AWARDED TO VELDE FORD AND POSSIBLY <br />THE OTHER TWO 1/2 TON PICK-UPS COULD BE DODGES. HE NOTED THEY WERE <br />BID SEPARATELY FROM THE OTHER FOUR BECAUSE THESE TWO ARE AIR CONDITIONED <br />AND THE OTHER FOUR ARE NOT. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SCHMUCKER, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ACCEPTED THE BID OF VELDE FORD ON <br />FOUR F-100 1/2 TON PICK-UP TRUCKS, AS BEING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID <br />MEETING SPECIFICATIONS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $19,170.72, INCLUDING.TRADE-IN, <br />WITH THE PROVISION THAT IF THEY ARE NOT DELIVERED IN 60 DAYS, THE ORDER <br />WILL BE CANCELED. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SCHMUCKER, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ACCEPTED THE BID OF FORT PIERCE DODGE <br />b ON A 1/2 TON D-150 DODGE PICK-UP TRUCK FOR THE ROAD & BRIDGE SUPERINTEN- <br />DENT, AS BEING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID MEETING SPECIFICATIONS, IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $5,920.94. <br />y <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER Loy, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SIEBERT, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ACCEPTED THE BID OF VELDE FORD ON A <br />1/2 TON F-100 FORD PICK-UP TRUCK FOR THE AGRICULTURAL AGENT, AS BEING <br />114 <br />OCT 18 1978 <br />a <br />
