Mayor Coy recognized her staff and attorney, and thanked everyone for their efforts. <br />She expressed how this had been a long process and felt the document's end result was excellent, <br />and one she could support. <br />Karen Disney-Brombach acknowledged the hard work that staff and other officials <br />had put into this effort. She appreciated staff working hard to ensure all the details were worked <br />out, and divulged that the School Board was prepared to adopt the policy for the Interlocal <br />Agreement. <br />5. REVIEW OF SCHOOL CONCURRENCY <br />IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE <br />Director Keating concluded the meeting by reviewing the implementation timetable. He <br />informed the Board that the County is on schedule, and reiterated that each Municipality, the <br />School Board, and the County must adopt and execute the Interlocal Agreement prior to March 1, <br />11: <br />He detailed the next steps, saying that all the local governments and the School Board need <br />to adopt and execute the ILA in February. Municipalities need to go through the process and adopt <br />the new Comprehensive Plan Element, the new Public School Facilities Element, and the <br />Amendments to the Intergovernmental Coordination Element and Capital Improvement Element. <br />The final item would be for each jurisdiction to amend their LDR's by July 1, 2008, which would <br />put all the components of the Interlocal Agreement into regulation format.
