SECTION 4. AUTHORIZATION OF NOTES. For the purpose of <br />advancing funds to finance the cost of the Project, there are hereby <br />authorized to be issued Revenue and General Obligation Notes of <br />the County (herein called "Notes"), in the aggregate principal <br />amount of not exceeding Two Hundred Thirty -Five Thousand Dollars <br />($235,000). The Notes shall be dated December 14, 1978, numbered <br />1 to 5, inclusive, Notes numbers 1 to 4, inclusive, to be in the <br />denomination of $50,000 each and No. 5 for $35,000. Said Notes <br />shall mature on December 13, 1979 and shall bear interest, payable <br />at maturity, at the rate of six and forty hundredths per centum <br />(6.40%) per annum. Such Notes shall be payable as to principal <br />' 1 <br />and interest in lawful money of the United States of America at <br />The Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A., New York, New York and shall be <br />payable to bearer unless registered as hereinafter provided. <br />SECTION 5. SALE OF NOTES. The Notes are hereby awarded <br />and sold at private sale, at the price of par plus accrued interest, <br />if any, to the date of delivery, to William R. Hough & Co., <br />St. Petersburg, Florida. <br />The Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners is <br />hereby authorized to receive the purchase price of.said Notes and <br />to apply the proceeds thereof without further authority from this <br />Board. <br />SECTION 6. EXECUTION OF NOTES. The Notes shall be <br />executed in the name of the County by the Chairman of the Board <br />of County Commissioners and countersigned and attested by the Clerk <br />of the Board, and -its corporate seal or a facsimile thereof shall <br />be affixed thereto or reproduced thereon. The facsimile signatures <br />of the Chairman or the Clerk may be'imprinted or reproduced on the <br />Notes, provided that at least one signature required to be placed <br />thereon shall be manually subscribed. In case any officer whose <br />signature shall appear on any of the Notes shall cease.to be such <br />officer before the delivery of such Notes; such signature or facsimile <br />shall nevertheless be.valid and sufficient for all purposes the same <br />as if he had remained in office until such delivery.
