ROBERT F. LLOYD CAME BEFORE THE BOARD REQUESTING FINAL <br />APPROVAL OF OCEANSIDE SUBDIVISION (FORMERLY KNOWN AS TREASURE COAST <br />DEVELOPMENT). <br />ADMINISTRATOR .JENNINGS INFORMED THE BOARD THAT TWO CERTIFIED <br />CHECKS TOTALING $$2,239 HAVE BEEN TURNED OVER TO HIM AS CASH BONDS, AND <br />HE WILL TURN THESE OVER TO THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT UPON APPROVAL OF THE <br />BOARD. HE STATED THAT THE PLAT IS IN ACCORDANCE WITH REGULATIONS. <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT ASKED IF THERE IS ANYTHING ON THE PLAT <br />SHOWING THAT PUBLIC WATER IS NOT AVAILABLE. HE NOTED THERE HAVE BEEN <br />SALT WATER INTRUSION PROBLEMS. <br />MR. LLOYD FELT THERE COULD BE A STATEMENT PUT ON THE PLAT <br />INDICATING THAT THE DEVELOPER IS NOT GOING TO FURNISH WATER AND SEWER. <br />HE BELIEVED THAT SALT WATER INTRUSION CAN OCCUR ANYWHERE. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY ASKED WHAT THE PLAT SAYS ABOUT A WATER <br />SYSTEM, AND MR. LLOYD STATED THAT IT DOES NOT SAY ANYTHING. <br />ADMINISTRATOR .JENNINGS EXPLAINED THAT PLAT LAW DOES NOT <br />REQUIRE THIS, BUT THE BOARD COULD MAKE A REQUIREMENT. HE SUGGESTED IF <br />A LENGTHY STATEMENT WERE INVOLVED, THAT JUST A NOTE BE MADE ON THE PLAT <br />REFERRING TO THE OFFICIAL RECORD BOOK TO FIND THE STATEMENT. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY DISCUSSED THE NAME CHANGE OF THE DEVELOPMENT <br />FROM TREASURE COAST TO OCEANSIDE, NOTING THERE IS A SIMILAR NAME ALSO <br />LOCATED ON THE BEACH, WHICH SHE FELT'MIGHT CAUSE SOME CONFUSION. <br />MR. LLOYD POINTED OUT THAT IT IS A CONDOMINIUM THAT HAS A <br />SIMILAR NAME, NOT A SUBDIVISION, AND IT IS IN ANOTHER AREA. <br />THE BOARD NEXT DISCUSSED THE NEED FOR STREET NUMBERS AS WELL <br />AS NAMES, AND MR. LLOYD NOTED THAT THESE ARE PRIVATE ROADS, BUT HE WOULD <br />BE HAPPY TO ADD THE STREET NUMBERS ON THE PLAT. <br />MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMIS- <br />SIONER LYONS, TO GRANT FINAL APPROVAL OF OCEANSIDE SUBDIVISION, FORMERLY <br />KNOWN AS TREASURE COAST, SUBJECT TO A STATEMENT ON THE PLAT CERTIFYING <br />THERE IS NO INTENTION ON THE PART OF THE DEVELOPER TO PROVIDE WATER <br />AND SEWER; THE STREET NUMBERS TO BE PLACED ON.THE PLAT OF RECORD. <br />MR. LLOYD POINTED OUT THAT HE WOULD NOT LIKE TO STATE THAT THE <br />DEVELOPER HAS "NO INTENTION It TO SUPPLY WATER AND SEWER, BUT HE WOULD <br />RATHER STATE THAT HE IS NOT SUPPLYING IT, ALTHOUGH THAT MAY NOT BE <br />HIS INTENTION FOREVER. THE BOARD AGREED WITH MR.. LLOYD'S SUGGESTION. <br />55 <br />
