PARKING LOT LEASE <br />THIS LEASE made this 6�— day of 1978, <br />by and between the CITY OF VERO BEACH, lessor, a municipal <br />corporation in the county of Indian River and state of Florida, <br />and INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, lessee, in consideration of the sum of <br />$10.00, the receipt of which hereby is acknowledged by lessor, <br />WITNESSETH: <br />That lessor, for and in consideration of the rent herein- <br />above specified, and the covenants and agreements hereinafter <br />contained, by the lessee to be kept and performed, has demised, <br />leased, and let unto said lessee those certain premises in the. <br />City of Vero Beach, county of Indian R.Lver, state of Florida, - <br />described as follows: <br />Lots 8, 9, 10,'11, 12, 13 and 14, Block 6, <br />ORIGINAL TOWN of Vero, according to Plat <br />thereof filed in the office of the Clerk of <br />the Circuit.Court, St. Lucie County, Florida, <br />in Plat Book 2, page 12; said lands now <br />lying and being in the City of Vero Beach, <br />Indian River.County, Florida. <br />To have and to hold unto said lessee on the following terms <br />and conditions: i <br />t <br />1. Term: The term of this lease shall be fivej(5) years, <br />beginning on the 1st day of October, 1978, and ending on the 30th <br />day of September, 1983, except as otherwise hereinafter provided. <br />2. Purposes: Said premises shall be used for the following <br />and for no other purpose whatsoever without the written consent of <br />lessor being first had and obtained: <br />A.� The area shall be utilized only as a surface <br />level parking lot to serve motor vehicles for <br />persons employed in governmental business in <br />the county administrative office building <br />(formerly Indian River Memorial Hospital), or <br />visitors to said offices. <br />B. The county shall not allow said area to be <br />utilized for persons employed in or visiting <br />non-governmental lessees in said building, <br />t <br />if any. <br />C. The county shall not place permanent improvements <br />on said land except for use as a surface level <br />parking lot. <br />3.
