Discussion ensued about the new developments in Sebastian and payment options <br />for the costs of the assessments. <br />Council Persons Monier and Neglia expressed their concerns with some citizens <br />being unable to afford the assessments. <br />6. VISIONING/GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT <br />INDIANRIVER COUNTY <br />Community Development Director Keating used a PowerPoint presentation to <br />illustrate the historical, current, and trends in growth rates, as well as public involvement <br />regarding future growth in Indian River County. <br />CITY OF SEBASTIAN <br />Mayor McCollum gave an update on projects the City has done that will save <br />monies regarding Powerline Road. <br />City Manager Minner provided information regarding straightening Barber Street, <br />County and City engineers meeting to revisit purchasing the remaining lots, and the related costs <br />to get the project finished. <br />7. AIRPORT BUSINESS PLAN <br />CITY OF SEBASTIAN <br />Airport Director Jason Milewski gave an up-to-date history of the airport and the <br />plans for the future. He explained Airport Master Plan projects already implemented and future <br />projects. <br />Chairman Lowther disclosed how helpful using the Sebastian Airport as a staging <br />area after Hurricanes Frances and Jeanne in 2004.. <br />8.
