Good <br />Serial No. M7 <br />The inventory and inspection revealed all major items were in good operating <br />condition. The only items requiring immediate attention were diffusor <br />piping, repairs to cracks in concrete, repairs to weirs and baffles in the <br />settling tank and surface skimmers in the settling tank. <br />IV APPRAISAL <br />The basis for appraisal of this treatment plant will be on replacement value <br />at current prices for an equivalent unit. In an effort to determine the <br />replacement cost, Davco-Defiance was contacted and requested to quote a price <br />for furnishing and constructing a similar unit at current prices. In <br />addition, Davco-Defiance was also requested to quote a price based on 1973 <br />cost data so an estimate. of depreciation/appreciation could be determined. <br />The following list reflects the information obtained from Davco-Defiance. <br />Item 1973 Cost 1978 Cost <br />1. Based on inventory and in- <br />spections, it is estimated to cost $1,500 -to repair cracks in tankage, repair <br />diffusor piping, replace sand media, repair settling tank piping, and to <br />overhaul flow meter and chlorinator.
