ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER LYONS, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />DEESON, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY GRANTED TENTATIVE APPROVAL OF GLEN WOOD <br />ACRES. <br />PLANNER REDICK THEN PRESENTED A REQUEST FOR TENTATIVE APPROVAL <br />OF HAMMOCK ESTATES, OWNED BY MARSHALL BARNES, REPRESENTED BY ENGINEER <br />.JAMES BEINDORF. HE NOTED THAT THE STREET IS PRIVATE; DRAINAGE IS <br />ADEQUATE3 THE CHECK HAS BEEN RECEIVED; AND THE SUBDIVISION REVIEW <br />COMMITTEE RECOMMENDS APPROVAL. <br />ENGINEER BEINDORF STATED THAT MARSHALL BARNES HAS A HOME ON <br />THE FRONT PORTION OF THE PROPERTY WHICH HE DID NOT WISH INCLUDED IN THE <br />PLAT, HE STATED THAT MR. BARNES GRANTED AN EASEMENT TO THE COUNTY <br />SEVERAL YEARS AGO TO HELP WITH THE DRAINAGE. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER Loy, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SIEBERT, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY GRANTED TENTATIVE APPROVAL OF HAMMOCK <br />ESTATES. <br />COMMISSIONER Loy MADE.A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT AND REPORTED THAT <br />THE CITIZENS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY HAVE RECEIVED A NICE CHRISTMAS <br />PRESENT. THE GOVERNOR AND CABINET HAVE APPROVED THE LEASE AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE U. S. AIR FORCE AND DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES TO LEASE <br />LAND AT .JONATHAN DICKENSON NATIONAL PARK IN CASE IT IS EVER NEEDED FOR <br />A TRACKING STATION. THIS NOW CLEARS THE WAY FOR THE AIR FORCE TO DECLARE <br />THE TRACKING STATION IN VERO BEACH EXCESS PROPERTY AND, HOPEFULLY, IN SIX <br />MONTHS THE COUNTY WILL BECOME THE RECIPIENT OF THIS 1,OOO' OF OCEANFRONT <br />LAND TO BE USED AS A PARK. SHE NOTED THAT SENATOR CHILES AND THE DEPART- <br />MENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES HAVE WORKED DILIGENTLY TO BRING THIS ABOUT. <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT NOTED THAT THIS HAS TAKEN ABOUT TEN YEARS <br />OF EFFORT FOR COMMISSIONER LOY,AND WE ALL OWE HER A GREAT DEBT OF <br />GRATITUDE. THE CHAIRMAN ECHOED HIS SENTIMENTS. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE INFORMED THE BOARD THAT A LETTER HAS BEEN <br />RECEIVED FROM FRANK LORC ASKING TO APPEAR BEFORE THE COMMISSION TO <br />DISCUSS THE POSSIBILITY OF CONNECTION TO THE SEWER LINE ALONG 6TH AVENUE <br />IN THE NEAR FUTURE. HE NOTED THAT MR. ZORC HAS STARTED A SUBDIVISION IN <br />THIS AREA AND ALREADY HAS PUT IN ROADS. <br />ma 38 fAia <br />
