<br />Commissioner Davis applauded Director Olson’s efforts, and wanted to add another <br />topic for discussion at one of the workshops. Before his second vote for the comp plan amendment <br />with St. John’s, he would like to see both sides of the equation for the comp plan changes (that is, <br />to change the 3,000 acres back to A2). He also wanted to know what the intent was with the <br />100-acre island. <br /> <br />Chairman Neuberger had questions on deep wells, and why we do not use surface <br />water. Director Olson explained those were some of the issues to be discussed at the December 6, <br />2006 workshop. <br /> <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bowden, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Neuberger, the Board unanimously <br />authorized the Utility Department to proceed with planning <br />the joint workshop with invitations extended to both the St. <br />Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD) and <br />Brevard County, as recommended in the memorandum of <br />November 2, 2006. <br />The Chairman called a break at 12:19 p.m., and reconvened the meeting at 12:28 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />12.
