L 1 <br />AG•REEMEN T <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made the GTTday of DECEMBER , <br />1978 by and between INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, a political subdivision <br />of the State of Florida, hereinafter referred to as "COUNTY", <br />and GERAGHTY & MILLER, INC., a corporation doing business in <br />Florida, hereinafter referred to as'"GEOLOGIST", their heirs, <br />successors and assigns. <br />WITNESSETH: <br />For and in consideration of mutual promises, the parties <br />agree as follows: <br />1. That Proposal prepared by GEOLOGIST for COUNTY, entitled <br />"Preliminary Investigation of Ground -Water Resources in the South <br />County Taxing District, Indian River County, Florida", is hereby <br />incorporated by reference into this Agreement. <br />2. COUNTY hereby authorizes GEOLOGIST to proceed with the <br />consulting services as described in the Proposal on pages 4 and <br />5. GEOLOGIST is authorized to prepare specifications, analyze <br />data, and prepare the report, which cost will be'approximately <br />EIGHT THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS ($8,600.00): These charges <br />will be on an hourly basis, and if the budgeted figure appears <br />to exceed the amount shown above, the COUNTY will be advised in <br />advance and no excess charges will be billed without authorization. <br />Schedule of Fees for Professional Services for the Hourly <br />fee is included in the Proposal prepared by GERAGHTY & MILLER, <br />INC., and will apply to the above geologist cost.. <br />3. All billings by GEOLOGIST to COUNTY shall be made on <br />a monthly basis and COUNTY, through its Administrator or <br />Engineer, shall approve future work to be performed by GEOLOGIST. <br />Bw 38 PAGE 437 <br />JAN 101979 <br />I <br />
