Mr. Sexton explained why the extra verbiage of "improved pasture land" would <br />not be advantageous to his Ranch. He asked the Board to follow the recommendations of the <br />PZC, as written. <br />Bob Ulevich, representing Sebastian River Improvement District and St. John's <br />River Improvement District, encouraged the Board to move on with a County -wide document <br />and not have LDR's targeted to a specific site or to specific landowners. <br />The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION, and the Board, <br />by a 4-0 vote (Chairman Davis recused himself), approved <br />staff's recommendation in Section #4, Item (3) Groundwater <br />and Environmental Protection, Items (3)(d)(1), (3)(d)(2), and <br />(3)(d)(5), with an amendment to Item (3)(d)(3), "that the 300 <br />feet to known off-site jurisdictional wetlands or native <br />uplands" be expanded to include improved pasture lands, and <br />with the amendment to strike Item (3)(d)(4). <br />The Chairman called for a recess at 11:59 a.m. and reconvened the meeting at <br />12: 36 p.m., with Commissioner Flescher absent. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Solari, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Wheeler, to approve <br />everything from Section #4 of the Ordinance, Groundwater <br />and Environmental Protection, Item (3)(d)(1) through Item <br />14 <br />December 19, 2008 <br />Special Call Mining Regulations <br />
