He reviewed the memorandum using a Power Point <br />presentation (A copy is on file with the backup in the Office of the Clerk to the Board.) to <br />explain that this is a small scale land use amendment that involves a swap and it is a <br />rezoning. He continued that there are three separate parts of the subject property under <br />consideration. He pointed out and described the properties and what would occur should <br />the Board approve the request. He also explained how surrounding properties would be <br />affected and what buffers would be in place. He noted that the purpose of the request is <br />two -fold: to allow the owner to have same commercial acreage and to down -zone the <br />property from heavy commercial to general commercial. He reviewed consistency and <br />specified that the property owner will be responsible for buffering. Staff has looked at <br />December 2, 2003 <br />19 <br />
