THE CHAIRMAN ASKED IF THERE WAS ANYONE PRESENT WHO WISHED TO <br />BE HEARD. <br />FRED BRIGGS, MANAGER OF FLORIDA MINERALS COMPANY, STATED THAT <br />HE WAS•PRESENT IN ORDER TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS THAT MIGHT ARISE. HE <br />CONTINUED THAT SEVERAL PEOPLE WERE UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT HOBART <br />BROTHERS DIVISION WAS ATTEMPTING TO HAVE THE PROPERTY REZONED FOR MINING <br />PURPOSES AND THEIR ONLY OBJECTION WAS THEY THOUGHT BIG DEEP HOLES WERE <br />GOING TO BE DUG. HE ASSURED THEM THAT THE REZONING WAS FOR RESIDENTIAL <br />PURPOSES, <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS ASKED WHO OWNS THE PROPERTY DESIGNED AS "X" <br />AND WAS ADVISED THAT MR. MCCULLERS DOES. THE ATTORNEY NOTED THAT MR, <br />MCCULLERS, WHOSE LEGAL NOTICE WAS INCLUDED IN THE ADVERTISED LEGAL NOTICE, <br />DID NOT RECEIVE A NOTICE OF THE PUBLIC HEARING. <br />BOARD SECRETARY ELIZABETH FORLANI STATED THAT IN CHECKING THE <br />MATERIAL SHE RECEIVED FROM THE PLANNING AND ZONING DEPARTMENT, THERE WAS <br />NOTHING STATING THAT MR. MCCULLERS WAS TO RECEIVE A NOTICE OF THE PUBLIC <br />HEARING. SHE CONTINUED THAT SHE SENT A LETTER TO THE FLORIDA MINERALS <br />COMPANY WITH A CARBON COPY TO FRED BRIGGS. <br />PLANNER REDICK RECOMMENDED THAT WE READVERTISE THE PROPERTY <br />OWNED BY MR. MCCULLERS, JUST TO BE SURE HE IS ADVISED OF THIS ZONING <br />w <br />CHANGE TO'R-1 RESIDENTIAL. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER DEESON, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER LYONS, <br />THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY CLOSED THE PUBLIC HEARING. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />LYONS, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED ORDINANCE No. 79-4 CHANGING THE <br />AGRICULTURAL ZONING OF THE PROPERTY OWNED BY FLORIDA MINERALS COMPANY, <br />TO R-1 RESIDENTIAL, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED PROPERTY <br />OWNED BY MR.
