�J <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE AGREED THAT IS ALSO HIS PROBLEM AND HE WANTS <br />TO BE SURE WE HAVE THE FIRM WE WANT TO DO THE WORK. HE CONTINUED THAT <br />-HE IS GREATLY RELIEVED TO HAVE MR. KONTOULAS.WORKING FOR THE COUNTY AND <br />HE FEELS THAT MOST OF THE CHANGES THAT HAVE BEEN WORKED OUT ARE THE <br />RESULT OF WORKING WITH MR. KONTOULAS. THE CHAIRMAN CONTINUED TO DISCUSS <br />THE PROPOSED RENOVATION, STRESSING THAT WE DO NOT WANT TO GO OVERBOARD <br />AND TRY TO DO THIS IN A SUPER DELUXE MANNER BUT JUST MAKE IT FUNCTIONAL <br />AND OPERATIVE. <br />COMMISSIONER LYONS COMMENTED THAT THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE BUILDING <br />TO REHABILITATE BECAUSE IT WAS NOT DESIGNED AS AN OFFICE BUILDING, AND <br />HE FELT WE MUST EITHER SPEND THE MONEY TO GET IT TO REASONABLE STANDARDS <br />OR FORGET -IT. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE STATED THAT HE WILL CONTACT THE SCHOOL BOARD <br />AND REPORT BACK AT THE NEXT MEETING. <br />ASSISTANT ADMINISTRATOR NELSON NOTED THAT IN DECEMBER THE BOARD <br />AUTHORIZED THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A MATERIAL MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT AND <br />AUTHORIZED THE HIRING OF A QUALIFIED MATERIAL MANAGEMENT DIRECTOR. HE <br />INTRODUCED JAMES FLYNN, WHO HAS BEEN HIRED TO FILL THIS POSITION, AND <br />NOTED THAT 1"•IR. FLYNN PREVIOUSLY HANDLED MATERIAL MANAGEMENT FOR THE INDIAN <br />RIVER COMMUNITY COLLEGE AND AL60 FOR C M F SYSTEMS IN .JACKSONVILLE. HE <br />STATED THAT MR. FLYNN HAS -DRAFTED A PROCEDURE FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF <br />MATERIALS AND WILL NOW PRESENT THIS TO THE BOARD FOR APPROVAL. <br />MR. FLYNN INFORMED THE BOARD THAT HE REVIEWED THE LAST AUDIT <br />REPORT AND EVEN CONTACTED THE AUDITOR GENERAL BEFORE COMING UP WITH HIS <br />PROPOSED GUIDELINES. HE PROCEEDED TO REVIEW THE SUGGESTED GUIDELINES. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE DISCUSSED IE (3) ON PAGE 2 WHERE IT STATES <br />THAT NO MEMBER OF THE STAFF SHALL RECEIVE ANY PERSONAL BENEFIT FROM ANY <br />CONTRACT OR PURCHASE AND ASKED HOW THIS WOULD APPLY TO THE STAFF'S FAMILY <br />.' ` PEMBERS. <br />• COMMISSIONER SIEBERT FELT FAMILY WOULD BE A PROBLEM, AND <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS STATED THAT IF IT IS IMMEDIATE FAMILY, IN HIS OPINION, <br />THERE WOULD BE A PERSONAL BENEFIT. <br />65 <br />FEB 211979 <br />BOOK 39 PAGE 146 <br />
