December 23, 2008 <br />EMERGENCY SERVICES DISTRICT <br />The Board of Commissioners of the Emergency Services District met at the County <br />Commission Chambers, 1801 27th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, December 23, 2008. <br />Present were Chairman Wesley S. Davis, Vice Chairman Joseph E. Flescher, and Commissioners <br />Peter D. O'Bryan, Bob Solari, and Gary C. Wheeler. Also present were County Administrator <br />Joseph A. Baird, Deputy County Attorney William K. DeBraal, and Deputy Clerk Leona Adair <br />Allen. <br />Chairman Davis called the meeting to order at 9:57 a.m. <br />15.A.1. ASSISTANCE TO FIREFIGHTERS GRANT AWARD <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner O'Bryan, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Flescher, the Board unanimously: <br />(1) approved the Assistance to Firefighters Grant funds in <br />the amount of $84,021; (2) authorized the matching - <br />expenditure of $21,005 from district funds; and <br />(3) authorized staff to execute and submit the required grant <br />reports, as recommended in the memorandum of December <br />9, 2008. <br />December 23, 2008 <br />E.S.D. <br />1 <br />
