11.A. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />11.A.1. CONSIDERATION OF ROADWAY CONNECTIVITY REQUIREMENTS <br />Director Boling recapped his memo and through a PowerPoint presentation <br />provided background information and details pertaining to roadway connectivity requirements <br />regarding transportation and roads, at a neighborhood level. He spoke about the connectivity <br />links, the benefits they would provide, and through aerials, he disclosed the particulars of the <br />affected properties. <br />Commissioner Wheeler agreed with staff's suggestions to the connectivity <br />requirements and felt that inter -connectivity is most important for the County as it urbanizes, and <br />is necessary for a good flow of traffic. <br />Chairman Bowden thought a long-term commitment needed to be made and that the <br />grid system needed to be worked out. <br />Commissioners Davis, O'Bryan, and Flescher were in favor of staffs <br />recommendations and felt that connectivity was of utmost importance. <br />Director Boling clarified that staff would draft regulations and move forward <br />through the process. <br />NO BOARD ACTION REQUIRED OR TAKEN <br />11.B.
