Director Keating stated that this item started out as a <br />code enforcement action because boat manufacturing is not allowed under this zoning <br />district. He explained that the purpose is to amend the land use of this property, to <br />accommodate light industrial uses, and that staff recommended approval. <br /> <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing. <br /> <br />Chris Marine <br />, Co-owner of Marbros, L.L.C., revealed additional facts <br />regarding their manufacturing process which consist of a gel-coat which is the one item <br />that makes their company non-compliant to code. <br /> <br />The Chairman closed the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Flescher, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner O’Bryan, the Board <br />Ordinance 2006-041, <br />unanimously adopted <br />amending the zoning ordinance and the <br />accompanying zoning map for ±2.89 acres located <br />east of Old Dixie Highway and approximately 3,909 <br />th <br />feet south of 45 Street, from CH, Heavy Commercial <br />District, and CG, General Commercial District, to IL, <br />Light Industrial; and providing codification, <br />severability, and effective date. <br />December 5, 2006 <br />20 <br /> <br />
