The Indian River County <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />March 6, 1979 <br />Page -2- <br />1.3 The Architect will prepare, for approval by.the Owner, <br />Schematic Design Documents consisting of drawings and <br />other documents illustrating the scale and <br />relationship of all components to be located in these <br />buildings based on the Space Program and the Project <br />budget requirements. <br />1.4 The Architect will submit to the Owner a Statement of <br />Probable Construction Cost based on current area, <br />volume and other unit costs. <br />2. AS BUILT DRAWINGS OF EXISTING FACILITIES: <br />The Architect will provide services to investigate existing <br />conditions in the. above mentioned county buildings or, to make <br />measured drawings thereof, or to verify the accuracy of <br />drawings furnished by the Owner. <br />We propose to provide the above services based on the Method of <br />Cbmpensation defined in Article IV of Agreement between Owner <br />and Architect of 10th November 1978 with a fee limit of $69,209. <br />This limit results from the following computations: <br />$55,709 For Schematic Design at 20% of 8-1/2% <br />of the Estimated Construction Cost of <br />$3.277m. <br />$13,500 For As Built Drawings <br />Fee for the remaining phases of Design of Modifications will be <br />negotiated at or prior to the completion of above services <br />based on the Probable Construction Cost at that time. <br />We are prepared -to commence work on these services immediately <br />upon receipt of a copy of the signed addendum as your notice to <br />proceed. <br />Sincerely, <br />CONNELL METC&LF & EDDY, INC. <br />Fred Kirsch <br />Project Principal <br />FK/RS/sd <br />(0173 ) <br />
