ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS INFORMED THE BOARD THAT HE HAS TWO <br />EMERGENCY ITEMS THAT NEED TO BE ADDED TO TODAY IS AGENDA IN REGARD TO <br />A SPEED CHANGE ON 20TH AVENUE AND 4TH STREET AND THE DOT FIVE YEAR <br />CONSTRUCTION PLAN. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER Loy, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER LYONS, <br />THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ADDED THE EMERGENCY ITEMS REQUESTED BY THE ADMINIS- <br />TRATOR TO TODAY IS AGENDA. <br />THE ADMINISTRATOR STATED THAT THE HIGHWAY PATROL WISHES TO <br />LOWER THE SPEED LIMIT ON 4TH STREET FROM 45 TO 35 MPH AND TO PLACE SOME <br />SPEED BUMPS ON 4TH STREET PRIOR TO THE STOP SIGNS. HE AGREED THAT THE <br />INTERSECTION AT 20TH AVENUE AND 4TH STREET IS A BAD ONE, AND STATED HE <br />WOULD HAVE NO OBJECTIONS TO THESE REQUESTS. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER LYONS, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SIEBERT, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED THE ADMINISTRATOR TO DISCUSS <br />THE ABOVE SUGGESTIONS WITH THE SHERIFF AND BRING BACK RECOMMENDATIONS. <br />ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS THEN DISCUSSED THE DOT FIVE YEAR PROGRAM <br />AND NOTED THAT THEY UPDATE THEIR PROGRAM EACH YEAR. HE COMMENTED THAT <br />THIS YEAR THEY SENT IT OUT IN SHORT FORM AND HAVE GIVEN US AN APRIL 6TH <br />DEADLINE TO REVIEW THE REPORT AND MAKE ANY COMMENTS. <br />THE BOARD REVIEWED THE -PROPOSED FIVE YEAR PROGRAM, WHICH IS AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />31 <br />MAR 2 11979 <br />BOOK 39 PAGE 28l <br />
