HAVE CONTROLLED GROWTH IN THE COUNTY, AND STATED SHE WOULD MUCH RATHER <br />SEE THIS PROPERTY ZONED R-lE THAN THREE OR FOUR YEARS DOWN THE ROAD SEE <br />IT ZONED R-1 AND HAVE 75' LOTS. <br />DISCUSSION AROSE ABOUT WELLS FOR SO LOTS, AND ATTORNEY COOKSEY <br />POINTED OUT THAT THE WELLS THAT SERVICE AGRICULTURE ARE ARTESIAN, AND <br />HE DID NOT BELIEVE SURFACE WELLS WOULD HAVE ANY ADVERSE AFFECT ON THEM. <br />HE ALSO STATED THAT THERE IS AN ADEQUATE SUPPLY IN THE SHALLOW AQUIFER <br />BECAUSE THIS IS IN THE HIGH YIELD AREA. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE EXPRESSED CONCERN THAT, ALTHOUGH R-lE IS THE <br />HIGHEST ZONING, THAT WITH SO HOMESITES THERE MIGHT BE SOME TRAFFIC <br />PROBLEM. HE ALSO DISCUSSED THE SOIL IN THIS AREA, BUT NOTED IT IS NOT <br />THE BOARDS CONCERN AS TO WHAT IT WILL TAKE TO UTILIZE THE PROPERTY <br />BECAUSE THAT WILL BE ADDRESSED AT SITE PLAN APPROVAL. <br />ATTORNEY COOKSEY STATED THAT THE PROPERTY IS A NET 73 ACRES, <br />AND THERE IS A LOW SPOT IN THE NORTHWEST CORNER, WHICH HE DID NOT FEEL <br />WOULD PRESENT ANY PROBLEM, <br />COMMISSIONER LYONS NOTED THAT IN REGARD TO A TRAFFIC PROBLEM, <br />THIS PROPERTY HAS PLENTY OF PAVED ACCESS, <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />DEESON, THE BOARD UNANIMOUS -.Y CLOSED THE PUBLIC HEARING. <br />ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS COMMENTED THAT WHEN THIS DOES GO INTO <br />SUBDIVISION REVIEW, ADDITIONAL RIGHT-OF-WAY MAY BE REQUIRED ON KINGS <br />HIGHWAY, WHICH IS NORMAL POLICY. <br />MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER LYONS, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SIEBERT, TO ADOPT ORDINANCE N0. 79-8 GRANTING THE REZONING TO R-lE WITH <br />THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS: <br />THAT THE STORAGE REPAIR AND SERVICE BUILDINGS SHOULD BE REMOVED <br />FROM THE PROPERTY; <br />THAT ADDITIONAL RIGHT-OF-WAY ON KINGS HIGHWAY SHOULD BE OBTAINED; <br />AND <br />THAT THE PLAT OF RECORD SHOULD SHOW THAT THE SUBDIVISION IS <br />LOCATED WITHIN AN AGRICULTURAL AREA AND'NORMAL AGRICULTURAL <br />ACTIVITIES SUCH AS AERIAL SPRAYING, ETC., ARE TO BE ANTICIPATED. <br />ATTORNEY COOKSEY SAW NO PROBLEM WITH THE ABOVE. <br />51 <br />• Boa 39 Par,E 341 <br />
