He would agree to negotiate now with <br />the County a "discounted" price for the lots based on current market value. <br />Discussion ensued whereby the Commissioners spoke in favor of purchasing the <br />lots now rather than waiting. <br />Chairman Lowther reminded Mr. Brackett that he offered to sell the lots to the <br />County at a "discounted" price, and Mr. Brackett affirmed his offer. <br />Vice Chairman Neuberger wanted to see a contract for the lots before approving the <br />recommendation, and Commissioner Wheeler agreed that should be a condition to the approval. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Vice Chairman Neuberger, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Wheeler, to have the <br />corner lots (lots 275-286) under contract before the special <br />exception use and conceptual PD plan for Bluewater Bay is <br />granted. <br />Chairman Lowther explained to Mr. Brackett that the project would not be <br />approved until he has successfully negotiated with staff. <br />Mr. Brackett asked them to agree that once the contract is signed that the approval <br />of his request would be granted. <br />Director Boling advised that having the lots under contract with the County could be <br />tied to the land development permit. <br />Commissioners indicated their understanding of the motion and their agreement. <br />The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION and the motion <br />carried unanimously.
