I <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS STATED THAT THE LAND MUST BE ADVERTISED, BUT <br />THE COUNTY CAN SET THE PRICE AND SPECIFICATIONS. HE NOTED THE BOARD <br />HAS THE DISCRETION TO REJECT ANY BID, <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR REGAN STATED THAT HE HAS BEEN <br />BIDDING IN OTHER COUNTIES WHERE THEY SET DESIGN CRITERIA AND ALLOT THE <br />BIDDERS SO MANY POINTS PER THE CRITERIA SET. HE ALSO MENTIONED SOCIAL <br />CRITERIA WHERE YOU ONLY SELL TO PEOPLE WITH A CERTAIN INCOME LEVEL, OR <br />WITH A CERTAIN NUMBER OF CHILDREN, ETC. <br />DISCUSSION CONTINUED ON POSSIBLY NEGOTIATING WITH A DEVELOPER <br />WHO HAS A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF LAND HE WANTS TO DEVELOP, AND ATTORNEY <br />COLLINS FELT THERE ARE ALL KINDS OF VARIATIONS WE WILL HAVE TO ADDRESS. <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT FELT POSSIBLY WE SHOULD HOLD OFF ON PASSING <br />A RESOLUTION BECAUSE THERE IS A POSSIBILITY WE COULD GET $400,000 IN- <br />STEAD OF $200,000, AND MR. ATKINSON SUGGESTED HAVING THE RESOLUTION <br />RELATE TO $400,000 AND THEN JUST TAKE THE MAXIMUM WE CAN GET, <br />COMMUNITY DIRECTOR REGAN AGREED, NOTING THAT TWO PRIVATE <br />DEVELOPERS HAVE ALREADY•APPROACHED HIM ABOUT DEVELOPING MULTI -FAMILY, <br />HE STATED THAT THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE THOROUGHLY <br />DISCUSSED THIS PROGRAM AND RECOMMEND ITS APPROVAL AND ENDORSE THE PRO- <br />GRAM.
