Ralph Sexton said, "we still have to pay the taxes, you'll get your tax money and <br />the ranch if we do not pay it." <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner O'Bryan, SECONDED by <br />Chairman Wheeler, the Board by a 4-1 vote (Commissioner <br />Flescher opposed) approved to exercise the Sexton Ranch <br />option agreement for purchase of agricultural conservation <br />easements; authorized staff to amend the Option <br />Agreement to add language relating to the sellers' <br />opportunity for a tax free exchange (as reported to the <br />Board on January 16, 2007); authorized staff to amend <br />language in the easements to account for historic <br />designation of structures; delegated authority to the County <br />Administrator to sign the amendments in coordination with <br />County Attorney staff; authorized staff to proceed with due <br />diligence activities; and authorized staff to close the <br />purchase, as recommended in the memorandum of <br />February 13, 2007. <br />9.B.
