SIMPSON THEN INFORMED THE BOARD THAT HE BELIEVED WE SHOULD <br />BE GETTING THE PERMITS BACK BY THE END OF THIS WEEK FOR BARBER AVENUE. <br />THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ARE READY FOR FINALIZATION AND HOPEFULLY THERE <br />WILL BE NO FURTHER CHANGES THAT NEED TO BE MADE IN THAT SET OF PLANS. <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT INQUIRED ABOUT INDIAN RIVER BOULEVARD. <br />ADMINISTRATOR KENNINGS DISPLAYED DRAWINGS THEY HAVE BEEN <br />WORKING ON. <br />COMMISSIONER LYONS INFORMED THE BOARD THAT HE AND THE ADMINIS- <br />TRATOR HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH THE DER TO TRY AND EXPEDITE THIS MATTER, <br />HE STATED THAT THE DER GAVE THEM A MAP OF WHERE THEY THOUGHT THEY WOULD <br />LIKE TO SEE THE END OF INDIAN RIVER BOULEVARD, BUT THE DER WAS CONCERNED <br />ABOUT ILLEGAL FILLING OF PART OF THE IMPOUNDMENT AND WANTED THE COUNTY <br />TO TAKE THIS FILL OUT AND USE IT FOR INDIAN RIVER BOULEVARD. THIS FILL, <br />HOWEVER, IS ON PRIVATE PROPERTY, AND THE COUNTY CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT <br />IT. HE THEN DISCUSSED THE ADMINISTRATORS PROPOSED COURSE FOR INDIAN <br />RIVER BOULEVARD AND FELT IF IT LOOKS GOOD ENOUGH TO THE BOARD, IT COULD <br />t BE CARRIED ON TO TALLAHASSEE TO TRY TO GET THIS SETTLED. COMMISSIONER <br />LYONS POINTED OUT THAT WHEN WE DO GET THIS SETTLED, WE ALSO WILL HAVE <br />THE END OF BARBER AVENUE SETTLED. <br />ADMINISTRATOR KENNINGS EXPLAINED HIS DRAWING AND HOW IT IS <br />CURVED AS FAR WEST AS POSSIBLE, HE DISCUSSED THE PROBLEM OF THE FILL <br />THAT WAS PUT IN WITHOUT A DER PERMIT, WHICH HE DID NOT FEEL WAS THE <br />COUNTY'S PROBLEM. HE CONTINUED TO DISCUSS ALIGNMENT OF INDIAN RIVER <br />BOULEVARD, NOTING THAT IT WAS ORIGINALLY DESIGNED FOR FOUR LANE TRAFFIC, <br />AND STATED THAT HE WOULD BE GLAD AT THIS POINT TO GET EVEN A TWO-LANE <br />ROAD.
