13.A.2 COUNTY COMMISSION OFFICE STAFFING <br />Chairman Wheeler read his memorandum to the Board dated February 5, 2007 and <br />an E-mail from the County Attorney regarding Board of County Commission Office staffing. He <br />outlined the changes that have been effected relative to administrative staff in the County <br />Commission's office since the release of the Executive Aide on January 23, 2007. <br />Commissioner Davis questioned whether they were putting another individual in a <br />hostile working environment, as was the former employee. <br />Chairman Wheeler did not share Commissioner Davis' views. He recommended <br />they move forward and decide whether they want personal aides or not. Commissioner Bowden <br />agreed with the recommendation. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner O'Bryan, <br />SECONDED by Chairman Wheeler, to accept staffing <br />provisions presented, with the caveat that (1) Darcy is <br />empowered to serve as Interim Executive Aide and make <br />decisions appropriate as she sees fit; and (2) if she may <br />resign from the Interim duties she could resume her status <br />prior to that staff change. <br />Commissioner Flescher asked if they needed a Motion in this regard. Discussion <br />ensued regarding whether a Motion was needed. <br />Further discussion ensued among Commissioners regarding alleged pressure on <br />February 6, 2007 51 <br />
