THE ADMINISTRATOR IN THE EVENT THIS NOTICE IS NOT COMPLIED WITH WITHIN <br />10 DAYS, TO PROCEED TO ABATE THE NUISANCE AND REMOVE SAID HAZARDOUS <br />STRUCTURE AND FILE A LIEN AGAINST THE PROPERTY FOR THE COST OF REMOVAL. <br />BUILDING DIRECTOR RYMER INFORMED THE BOARD THAT SHE BELIEVED <br />THE PROPERTY OWNED BY VIRGIL MURPHY WAS FOR SALE. SHE CONTINUED THAT <br />HE PLACED SOME MONEY IN ESCROW WITH THE COUNTY AND SHE BELIEVED EVERY- <br />THING IS REMOVED EXCEPT THE DEBRIS. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT,' SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />LYONS, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED THE ATTORNEY TO GIVE VIRGIL <br />MURPHY 20 DAYS NOTICE TO ABATE THE NUISANCE AND REMOVE THE HAZARDOUS <br />STRUCTURE OR DEBRIS THEREFROM, LOCATED ON HIS PROPERTY ON OLD DIXIE <br />HIGHWAY SOUTH OF 81ST STREET; AND AUTHORIZED THE ADMINISTRATOR IN THE <br />EVENT THIS NOTICE IS NOT COMPLIED WITH WITHIN 20 DAYS, TO PROCEED TO <br />ABATE.THE NUISANCE AND .REMOVE SAID HAZARDOUS STRUCTURE, OR DEBRIS THERE- <br />FROM, A FILE A LIEN AGAINST THE PROPERTY FOR THE COST OF REMOVAL, <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE STATED THAT HE DID NOT FEEL HE SHOULD TAKE <br />PART IN THE FOLLOWING MATTER TO BE DISCUSSED CONCERNING THE PROPERTY OF <br />LOUIS WODTKE AND LEFT THE MEETING AT 2;50 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />VICE CHAIRMAN LOY TOOK OVER THE MEETING. <br />BUILI}ING DIRECTOR RYMER REPORTED THAT MR. WODTKE`S HOUSE WAS <br />BURNED BACK IN 1978, HE RECEIVED BURNS LN THE FIRE, AND IT HAS TAKEN <br />HIM A WHILE TO RECOVER, BUT HE HAS BEEN WORKING ON THE PROPERTY AND HAS <br />GOT IT PRETTY WELL CLEANED UP. THE BUILDING HAS BEEN DEMOLISHED, BUT <br />HE HAS SOME LUMBER WHICH HE HAS STACKED ON THE PROPERTY AND WANTS TO <br />USE, AS WELL AS SOME CONCRETE PIERS. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY ASKED IF THE COMPLAINT ORIGINATED FROM <br />NEIGHBORS. <br />MRS. RYMER EXPLAINED THAT THE HOUSE WAS ALMOST DESTROYED BY <br />FIRE AND REALLY LOOKED BADLY. THERE WAS A NEIGHBOR INVOLVED WHO WAS <br />QUITE UPSET BECAUSE OF THE LENGTH OF TIME INVOLVED IN REMEDYING THE <br />SITUATION. <br />•HOWARD PAUTZKE OF THE ZONING DEPARTMENT STATED THAT THEY <br />CANNOT FIND ANYTHING UNDER ZONING WHERE MR, WODTKE IS IN A GREAT DEAL <br />OF VIOLATION.
