Commissioner Flescher remarked, based on earlier comments, that this was not <br />about the merits of Ocean Concrete, but is solely on the appeal process, and whether there were <br />any inherent actions within staff, or there was a defect in P&Z's process. <br />The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION and by <br />unanimous vote, the Board found that the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission's decision did not fail in regard to <br />any of the four appeal review areas. The Board denied the <br />appeal and upheld the Planning and Zoning Commission's <br />decision to wholly affirm the Community Development <br />Director's determination to deny the request for a one-year <br />extension of the subject site plan application, as <br />recommended in the memorandum dated March 6, 2008. <br />11.B. MEDICARE HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN FOR RETIREES AND HEALTH <br />INSURANCE SUBSIDY POLICY <br />Human Resources Director Jim Sexton brought two issues to the Board: (1) <br />offering a Medicare health insurance plan to retirees, and (2) a potential revision to the health <br />insurance subsidy policy that is currently in place.
