effective date of the subcontract for the purpose of <br />approval by the COUNTY. <br />C. The CONSULTANT agrees to be responsible for the <br />fulfillment of all work elements included in the sub- <br />contracts and agrees to be responsible for the payment <br />of all monies due under any subcontract and hold the <br />COUNTY harmless from any liabilities or damages <br />arising under or from any subcontract hereunder. <br />11. NOTICES: <br />A. Any notice or other written communication <br />from the CONSULTANT to the COUNTY shall be considered <br />delivered when posted by Certified Mail or delivered <br />in person to the Director of the Planning and Zoning <br />Department of Indian River County, or his designated <br />representative. <br />B. Any notice or other necessary formal com- <br />munications from the COUNTY to the CONSULTANT shall <br />be considered delivered when posted by CERTIFIED MAIL <br />or delivered in person to an authorized representative. <br />12. PERSONNEL: <br />A. To the extent required by law, the CONSULTANT <br />will secure and maintain such insurance as will pro- <br />tect it from claims under Workmen's Compensation <br />Acts and from claims for bodily injury, death, or <br />property damage which may arise from the performance <br />of its services under this Contract. <br />B. The CONSULTANT assures that the program sup- <br />ported by the grant will be conducted in compliance <br />with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 <br />(P.L. 88-352) as amended, (42 USC 2000d) and the <br />requirements imposed by the Regulations of the <br />Department of Commerce (15 CFR Part 8) issued <br />pursuant to that Title. In accordance therewith no <br />person in the United States shall, on the ground of <br />race, color or national origin, be excluded from <br />AUG 81979 -5- B00K 41 F4E 3224,. <br />
