<br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Wheeler to <br />rezone this property to RS–3. There was no second <br />and the MOTION FAILED. <br /> <br />MOTION WAS MADE BY Commissioner Davis, <br />SECONDED by Chairman Lowther, to approve staff’s <br />recommendation. <br /> <br />Under discussion, Commissioner Wheeler pointed out that a rezoning to RS-6 was <br />not in compliance with the surrounding area and he felt they would be setting a precedent by <br />approving this request with a restrictive covenant. <br /> <br />The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION and the <br />motion carried by a 3-2 vote, Commissioner Wheeler <br />and Commissioner Bowden opposed. (The Board <br />adopted Ordinance 2005-008 amending the zoning <br /> <br />ordinance and the accompanying zoning map for <br />th <br />23.6 acres located south of 65 Street and <br />approximately 3,230 feet west of Old Dixie Highway <br />from PD, Planned Development to RS-6, single-family <br />residential district (up to 6 units/acre), and providing <br />for codification, severability, and effective date. <br /> <br />9.A.2.
