He asked that the Board open the <br />public hearing, consider the various CDBG categories, pick the Economic Development Block <br />Grant Category, and authorize staff to proceed with the consultant selection process and activate <br />the County’s existing CDBG Advisory Task force. <br /> <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to be heard regarding <br />this matter. There being none, the Chairman closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lowther, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Macht, the Board unanimously approved <br />opening the public hearing; obtaining public input <br />regarding the county’s economic development conditions; <br />chose a CDBG economic development category; and staff <br />to apply for CDBG economic development funds to <br />continue with an RFP process to hire a consultant to <br />prepare an Economic Development CDBG application; and <br />activated of the County’s existing CDBG Advisory <br />Taskforce, all as recommended by staff in the <br />memorandum dated March 2, 2004. <br /> <br />9.B.1.
