April 15, 2008 <br />EMERGENCY SERVICES DISTRICT <br />The Board of Commissioners of the Emergency Services District met at the <br />County Commission Chambers, 1801 27a' Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, April 15, <br />2008. Present were Chairman Sandra L. Bowden, Vice Chairman Wesley S. Davis, and <br />Commissioners Joseph E. Flescher, Peter D. O' Bryan, and Gary C. Wheeler. Also present were <br />County Administrator Joseph A. Baird, County Attorney William G. Collins II, and Deputy <br />Clerk Maureen Gelfo. <br />Chairman Bowden called the meeting to order at 3:14 p.m. <br />15.A. EMERGENCY SERVICES DISTRICT <br />1. ADDITIONAL STAFFING AT FIRE -RESCUE STATIONS G AND 11 <br />In October 2007, the Board directed staff to increase the staffing levels at Fire - <br />Rescue Stations 6 and 11. Since that time, State mandated tax reforms caused staff to once again <br />seek Board instruction, and to present three options for Board approval. <br />April 15, 2008 <br />E.S.D. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Wheeler, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner O'Bryan, for discussion, <br />to approve Option 3, to direct staff to hire six fire -medics <br />to increase the staffing levels as previously approved. <br />1 <br />
