He opposed the purchase of the Capt’n Butcher parcel only but <br />favored the purchase of Smith Fish House. <br /> <br />Guy Barber <br />, Highlands Drive S.W., Vero Beach, thought there was liability with the <br />purchase of the Capt’n Butcher parcels because of the restaurant. He had no problem purchasing <br />Smith House because at least we would have the land. <br /> <br />Win Robinson <br />, 17 Marine Drive, Vero Beach, protested the use of the money to be used <br />for buying a problem property with no environmental worth. He read a statement from his wife, <br />Mrs. Robinson, who did not want Capt’n Butcher’s bought because it is not a historical property. <br /> <br />Kathy Wiggle <br />, 8060 142nd Street, Sebastian, opposed using the Land Acquisition Bond to <br />purchase this property. She believed there was no historical property left after the hurricanes. <br /> <br />Nathan McCollum <br />Mayor of Sebastian, , representing the City Council, said they <br />unanimously endorsed this project. They wanted to keep our heritage with fishing. <br /> <br />Betina Budrow <br />, 1302 Indian River Drive, Sebastian, would have preferred to see an <br />educational property rather than a tourist attraction. <br /> <br />Sumner Sharman <br />, Gray’s Landing, Sebastian, wanted the site preserved as a working <br />museum. <br /> <br />th <br />Chris Penson <br />, 106 Avenue, Vero Beach, wanted everyone to drive down there to look <br />and see that it is a historical site.
